Bloom Holding sets up new energy department

Leading real estate development company Bloom Holding has announced that a new energy department has been established as a division of its facilities management arm, bfm.

This comes as part of Bloom Holding’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, said the Emirati developer in its statement.

The new energy department is set to implement an Internet-of-Things (IoT) platform with smart technologies designed to enhance the experience of owners and tenants through the creation of energy-efficient living and working environments, it stated.

This department will seek to optimise the overall energy consumption across Bloom Holding’s properties and increase the efficiency of bfm’s services across their customer portfolio.

A subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based National Holding, Bloom is one of the UAE’s foremost holding companies, committed to building, operating and investing in premium communities and enriching the lives of its customers through the development and management of real estate, education and hospitality assets, said the statement.

Notably, it will focus on prolonging the lifecycle of Bloom and customer assets, which will all lead to minimising the long-term cost of operations, and ultimately improving the customers’ experience through a personalised data-driven decision-making process, it stated.

From energy retrofits to audits, management of operational habits and specialist asset condition troubleshooting, the department is equipped to create long term value, it added.

Head of development Mustafa Saaid said: 'Through launch of the energy department, we are adding new value streams to customers through our continuing development of sustainable communities that improve customers’ living experience.'

'It is another positive step forward as part of Bloom Holding’s plans to become a smart, sustainability-conscious developer,' remarked Saaid.

'Through the energy department, we are delivering on our plan to be at the forefront of implementation of smart technologies in the management of buildings and communities in the region,' he added.-
