Amadeus, Moonline to drive new business travel era in MEA

Amadeus and Iraq-based Moonline Travel have announced a new global partnership agreement to strengthen Moonline Travel’s online travel business and automate operational processes for its flagship brand, Babylon Booking.

As part of the agreement, Babylon Booking will implement multiple Amadeus solutions, including B2B Wallet – a new virtual card payment solution - and will benefit from the Amadeus Travel Platform which brings together the most extensive air, hotel, rail, and car content in the one platform. Through these solutions, Babylon Booking will boost its online corporate travel business and offer their customers a seamless experience.

As one of the key travel players in Iraq, Babylon Booking, with its B2B flight booking portal with 700+ airlines including 120 low cost carriers, will enhance its offering and capabilities even further through its collaboration with Amadeus.

In addition, Babylon Booking plans on launching a B2C website this year using Amadeus Web Services. With over 30 years’ experience in providing innovative travel technology solutions, Amadeus will support Babylon Booking to grow its B2B and B2C business across the region.

Rebin Kh. Mustafa, managing director at Babylon Booking, said: “Babylon is proud to announce its global partnership agreement with Amadeus to strengthen its value proposition to its customers. As a leading travel provider in Iraq, we are excited about expanding our business further into the Middle East and Africa. Partnering with a well-respected company like Amadeus and implementing its future-proof solutions will truly enable us to grow our business and provide travellers with an improved customer journey.”

Maher Alaili, sales director Business Travel Middle East and North Africa, Amadeus, said: “Digital travel is evolving at a rapid pace in the region and we look forward to providing Babylon Booking with solutions that will optimize its business and offer its travellers an exceptional experience.”
