Erbil, Baghdad Say Committed to Budget Deal


ERBIL - Both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the federal government have remained committed to their three-month agreement on the budget, an Iraqi spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters, Ahmed Mulla Talal, a spokesperson for the Iraqi government, pointed out that Baghdad would continue to send IQD 320 billion to Erbil monthly until the budget bill for 2021 is approved, as reported by Kurdistan 24.

He further reiterated that Baghdad continues to cover part of the salaries of the Kurdistan Region's public servants for the next three months.
