Iraq and Egypt discuss procedures for activating joint cooperation agreements in the industrial sector


Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz Al-Khabaz, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Waleed Muhammad Ismail, procedures for activating bilateral cooperation and tripartite cooperation agreements between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan in the industrial sector.

During the meeting, the Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Minerals is serious about achieving industrial cooperation and integration with Egypt and Jordan in light of the assurances of the heads of the three countries as well as openness to industrially advanced countries, referring to the joint relations and strong fraternal ties between Iraq and Egypt and their brotherly peoples, calling for the need to achieve practical steps and a real application of this cooperation in various industrial fields through the many investment opportunities and projects announced by the Ministry and the opportunities available to the private industrial sector in addition to cooperation in other areas related to training, marketing management, industrial safety and others.


The two sides discussed the agreement to send a technical team of industrialists in the Republic of Egypt to Iraq with several specializations to open horizons for joint work and the steps for Egypt's entry into the joint economic city project between Iraq and Jordan.

For his part, the Egyptian Ambassador affirmed the seriousness of his country and his country's keenness to promote joint work and activate agreements and memoranda of cooperation with Iraq in various industrial fields, transfer of successful experiences and exchange of experiences, expressing his full readiness for continuous communication and coordination with the Ministry in order to achieve this cooperation and to achieve the common interests of the two countries.
