Only a third of Kurdistan Region’s oil income goes to finance ministry: Kurdistan Parliament Speaker

SULAIMANI — Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Rewaz Fayaq on Monday (November 15) claimed that the Kurdistan Region’s monthly oil income is $900 million, but that only $350 million goes to the KRG’s Ministry of Finance.

During a roundtable with a number of media outlets including NRT, she said that 'as the speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament, I’m not aware of how much the income the KRG receives.”

Fayaq also said that the current migration issue in Kurdistan Region is unusual and 'it has become a phenomenon.”
