Iraq Suspends Flights with India over COVID-19 Crisis

ERBIL — Iraq’s Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday suspended all direct flights from and to India where the positive cases of COVID-19 are sharply increasing.

The decision has been approved by the Ministry of Transportation and it will last until further notice, according to an official statement.

India recorded 2,771 fatalities on Tuesday only, bringing the overall death toll to nearly 200,000 in the second most populous country.
