Flights Between Kurdistan and Iran Resumed

ERBIL — The flights between Iran and the Kurdistan Region resumed on May 2, almost a year since their suspension due to the pandemic.

According to the official website of Sulaymaniyah International Airport, a flight from Tehran had arrived in the Kurdish city on Sunday.

Officials at Erbil International Airport have also confirmed the resumption of the flights with Iran.

The flights with the neighboring country had been suspended due to the fast spread of COVID-19 and its UK variant in the country.
